Basketball: France lead Canada after one quarter
This is INTENSE.
Every basket made by France - even a free-throw -is met with huge cheers from the crowd, andLes Bleushave ridden that wave of support to build a 23-10 lead.
It'sveryphysical on the court too, and the refs are letting them play. Does Canada have a response?

Skateboarding: Arisa Trew wins women's park gold on final run
Australia's 14-year-oldArisa Trew, who had been in third after the first two runs, throws down a massive third round including a big body varial 540that has her support staff erupting in joy!
Trew earns a massive 93.18 to shoot to the top of the standings with just five riders to go. Heili Sirvio of Finland can't get into the top three.
Sky Brown is next, riding with a dislocated shoulder. It's a great run! She is thrown up in the air by her dad. It's 92.31 and moves her ahead of Hiraki Cocona!
Japan'sKusaki Hinano falls on her last run and so won't be moving up the standings. Trew is guaranteed a medal.
Only Hiraki and USA'sBryce Wettstein can prevent that medal being gold.
But Wettstein, too, can't complete one of her tricks! So Trew and Brown are guaranteed medals!
All eyes on Hiraki. It's a clean run! It looks good and solid! The Japanese raises both arms in the air then goes over to get hugs from all her competitors.
92.63! She beats Brown for silver! Brown is standing right behind her and can barely look - they then hug, both with massive smiles on their faces.
Arisa Trew is Olympic champion – and the Australian also sports a wide grin as she hugs her fellow medallists.
She's the youngest Paris 2024 medallist so far these Olympic Games!

Basketball: Serbia beat Australia in overtime
What. A. Game.
In the end, it's one of the best basketball players on earth who makes the difference.
In a sequence of about two minutes, Nikola Jokic produces a tough hookshot score, a key steal on Mills as he looked set to score, and a ridiculous fadeaway shot to effectively seal the game for the world silver medallists.
Australia has a chance to tie things yet again with a few seconds remaining, but a bad inboud pass from Josh Giddey is stolen and Serbia escape with the win, 95-90.
Serbia fans serenade their heroes as one, with more MVP chants for Jokic - well deserved.
Next up? Hosts France against 2023 world bronze medallists Canada.

Sport climbing round-up as Olympic and world records smashed
We've had a lot of great action at the Le Bourget Climbing Venue with the Olympic record being broken no less than seven times and the world record twice!
First though was the Boulder semi-final of the women's Boulder & Lead, which saw defending world champion Janja Garnbret (SLO) achieve a massivescore of 99.6 to huge cheers from an adoring crowd. She will attempt to add a Paris 2024 gold to the combined gold she won at Tokyo 2020 on 10 August.
Then came the men's speed qualification (and qualification elimination), and this is where thingsreallygot spicy.
In the qualification seeding runs, the Olympic record was brokenseven times, with Veddriq Leonardo (INA) eventually setting the record at 4.79 seconds.
That time didn't stand for long, however, as Sam Watson (USA) would go even faster and set a new world record in the elimination heats - 4.75 - to the amazement of the crowd!
The full list of the Olympic record change from today's men's speed climbing is as follows:

Basketball: Australia lead Serbia at half-time
There are MVP chants going around the Bercy Arena from the Serbia fans as Nikola Jokic steps to the free-throw line, but in reality its been Australia point guard Patty Mills who has been unstoppable thus far, scoring 20 points on eight-of-eleven shooting from the field.
At one point Mills hit back-to-back contested threes that almost blew the roof off the stadium, and thanks to Mills Australia head into the break with a healthy 54-42 lead.
Nikola Jokic has been stuffing the stat sheet as you'd expect (11 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal), but he and his teammates will need a big second half if they are to progress to the semi-finals.

Badminton: Carolina Marín - "I will always be incredibly grateful" to He Bingjiao
After her devastating injury when leading in the women's singles badminton semi-final, Spain'sCarolina Marín – who has suffered two prior serious knee injuries – was forced to abandon the tournament.
Her semi-final opponent, People's Republic of China's He Bingjiao, went on to win silver – and carried a Team Spain Olympic pin with her onto the podium.
In a statement posted to Instagram today, Marín wrote in Spanish:
"On Sunday, I suffered one of the hardest moments of my life. A few days have passed but I will need more time to absorb it. I suppose life throws at us situations we don't want to go through and don't deserve, but we have to accept them and get through them the best we can.
"I want to point out one person: I wished He Bingjiao all the best in the final, because sportsmanship comes above everything. But the moment on the podium is one of the most beautiful gestures I've ever had anyone make towards me, and I will always be incredibly grateful to her."
